  Even the most advanced medical technology can only go so far if the menus in those healthcare facilities are filled with disease-promoting processed meat and junk foods. So why does InterMed allow the CEO of food service giant Elior, Dr. Brian Poplin, on its board of directors? It sure sounds like a conflict of interest to me.

  With a diet high in dairy and meat being the number one cause of preventable disease, I can’t believe InterMed — while delivering medical technology to healthcare facilities — allows Elior CEO Brian Poplin to sit on its board of directors. Elior serves far too many known disease-causing meat, poultry, and egg products, even to patients healing in healthcare facilities. Intermed must address this conflict of interest—now.
